Joshua Brownlee is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Brownlee received a B.A. in history with a minor in philosophy. Mr. Brownlee graduated from John Marshall Law School with a J.D. in 2010.

While at John Marshall Law School, Mr. Brownlee was a member of the school’s mock trial team. Mr. Brownlee was the 2009-2010 recipient of the Judge Harold R. Banke Advocacy Award for outstanding performance on the mock trial team. Throughout his law school career, Mr. Brownlee dedicated himself to protecting indigent rights by volunteering at Metro Conflict Defender Office and DeKalb County Public Defender’s Office. During that time Mr. Brownlee had the opportunity to sit second chair in both felony and misdemeanor cases under the Third Year Practice Act. Mr. Brownlee co-founded John Marshall’s Public Defender Club under Jon Rapping and served as the Club’s President.

Before starting his own firm, Mr. Brownlee worked for L. David Wolfe, P.C. where he handled criminal cases at both the trial and appellate level.

Prior to pursuing his passion for the law, Joshua Brownlee proudly served six years in the United States Marine Corps. While serving in the Marine Corps, Joshua Brownlee was awarded the Stinger Missile Gunner Leadership Award. In 2004, Mr. Brownlee served a tour of duty in Al Anbar, Iraq, as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom II. While in Iraq, Mr. Brownlee was presented with a Certificate of Commendation for his service there.
